All I can say is that it's going really well and there are gonna be Green Lanterns in it, and it's gonna be on HBO Max.". On October 20, 2021, Seth Grahame-Smith stated, "It has taken quite a bit of time to get to this point and it's just a big, big undertaking. Berlanti productions will produce in association with Warner Bros. It will be written and executive produced by Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim, with Seth serving as the showrunner. On October 9, 2020, HBO Max greenlit the series for ten one-hour episodes. It was described as, " A Green Lantern inspired series from Berlanti Productions that will finally introduce characters from this iconic comic in Berlanti's biggest series yet." On October 30, 2019, HBO Max announced that their new streaming service would feature several HBO Max originals.
